Experiments with LIES (PART I)

So you are caught in a tricky situation. You have done a thing that has backfired from what you thought and now the environment is the same as that time of the year, the “Hunting season.” You are faced with a dilemma. On the one hand if you do speak the truth you will get either into trouble or you will lose out, on the other hand you really do not want to speak a “blatant lie”. So basically you are caught in-between and if you do not decide quickly there is more “shit” (and here shit is bad) coming your way.
What do you do?
To start off with the art of lying resides in the “grey area” of things. If you are the kind of person who is suffering from the “Black or White” syndrome, you must get out of it. Lying is a subtle art just like graffiti. Each stroke has to be done with a steady controlled hand and must possess finesse. The goal of a liar is to “bend the truth”. There is absolutely no other way. Of course you can blatantly lie and stand your ground but people will have evidence and I’m taking into account that you only think so much when lying to a “Thinking person”.
So what are the basics of lying? The most common error in decision making is to freeze! You find yourself at a loss for words and even though you think that you body temperature in dropping your body show’s tiny droplets of sweat. I will not say “Do not freeze” for then I’m not really saying anything. You look towards the heavens for inspiration or you stare at the “accuser” dead in the eye thinking it’ll make a difference. DO NOT!
When faced with this situation always ensure that you have control of your breathing. Take conscious breaths NOT deep breaths. Conscious breaths are normal breaths but you actually feel your lungs filling with air and then the flowing out of air. This will ensure that the fear or the first thoughts that come to your head are also exhaled with the “impure air”. It is of vital importance that you think of yourself, not what you are but how you are. In times of distress it is very easy to “lose your cool” and so you end up behaving, acting and thinking in a way that is foreign to you. You must also ensure that you do not think of “Justifications” for your actions. An action does not require to be “Justified” it needs to have a reason. Very often you will end up justifying yourself and so will fail miserably. All these signs are analyzed even before the focus has come on you. These are analyzed with fractions of a second and anyone who is a little good at understanding people will see right through you.
