The ancient Greeks has started something that was pretty yummy: cheesecake.
It has been said that cheesecake was first made on Greek island of Samos in the Aegean Sea sometime around 800 B.C.
There was even a town near Thebes, northwest of Athens, that was named after
cheesecake.
During the first Olympic games which took place in Greece in 776 B.C. the athletics were given the cheesecakes for energy.

Cheesecake is a dessert consisting of a topping made of soft, fresh cheese on a base made from biscuit, pastry or sponge.
Its basically very sweet. It contains a lot of sugar and flavored or topped with fruit, nuts, fruit flavored drizzle and/or chocolate.
Today we are so much blessed to have the variety of cheesecakes.
